Where we are, how to get there, parking, where to stay

The headquarters of the Institute of Neurological Sciences is Pavilion G of the Bellaria Hospital, with activities also carried out in Pavilions A, F, G and Tinozzi.

The Maggiore Hospital is home to services related to emergency-urgency in neurology, with sections dedicated to cerebral stroke and trauma surgery, while the Disability Centre in Corte Roncati (in the Roncati Hospital complex) is home to services for children's rehabilitation medicine.
The ISNB has a total of 113 beds and 20 diagnostic and research laboratories.

How to reach Bellaria Hospital

By bus

Two buses arrive at the Bellaria hospital:

  • 36 (starting from the Barca district, passing by the Central Station, the Autostazione and the Sant'Orsola hospital)
  • 90 (starts from Piazza Cavour, passes the Bellaria hospital and arrives in Ozzano)

By car

  • From the ring road, exit 13 towards via Emilia Levante and follow the signs
  • from the motorway (A14), exit at San Lazzaro, towards via Emilia Levante and follow the signs

By train

  • From Bologna Central Station, bus 36

From the airport

  • From Bologna airport, bus BLQ to Central Station, then bus 36.

Parking

The car park is located along Via Altura, on the right as you proceed towards the Bellaria Hospital.

Parking is charged from Monday to Saturday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Free of charge on public holidays and on weekdays from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following day.

The cost of the first hour of parking is 0.50 euro. Subsequent hours of parking cost 1 euro, with a daily maximum of 6 euro.
In the Bellaria Hospital area there are reserved parking spaces for the disabled, dialysis patients, blood donors, those undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy treatment and patients with particular chronic diseases, such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Free parking is also available for volunteers, for whom the Company has provided specific passes that will be managed by the Associations themselves.

As in the case of public service car parks, payment will be made at the end of the parking period, using automatic machines, so as to avoid any inconvenience to citizens.

How to get to Maggiore Hospital

By bus

  • The following buses arrive at the Maggiore hospital: 13, 19, 35, 38, 39, 81, 86, 87, 91, 92

By car

  • From the ring road, exit 2 or 3, direction city centre, follow the signs

By train

  • From the train station, take bus 35, direction Ospedale Maggiore, or bus 40, direction Airport.

From the airport

  • From Bologna airport, bus 40, direction Stazione Centrale. The bus stops at Ospedale Maggiore.

 

Parking

Parking is located in front of the Ospedale Maggiore, along Via dell'Ospedale and in Via Prati di Caprara.

ISNB's premises at Corte Roncati

The Corte Roncati regional technology hub is a network of centres with high levels of specialist expertise in the field of diagnosis and functional assessment of disabilities, assistive devices and strategies for the definition of a habilitation/rehabilitation project. The specialist centres of Corte Roncati are nodes of the Regional Health Service and are networked with local and hospital services.
At the Disability Centre in Corte Roncati there are:

  • Children's Rehabilitation Medicine (outpatient clinics, gym)

The Polo Tecnologico Regionale per le Disabilità Corte Roncati is located in via Sant'Isaia n. 90, Bologna.

By bus
