Neuroradiology with high complexity techniques
The programme of Neuroradiology with high-complexity techniques provides neuroradiological services of particular complexity or clinical interest by facilitating the transfer of research products into clinical activity and promoting the qualification and enhancement of the diagnostic offer.
Care activities
The main activities of the programme are as follows:
- monitoring the evolution of patients suffering from potentially rapidly evolving pathologies (cancer patients, MS patients, etc.)
- performing MRI examinations in patients wearing "MR Conditional" devices
- development and performance of CT and MRI examinations of particular structures, such as the Petroses Rocks, the muscular district, cranial nerves
- implementation of CT and MRI protocols useful for further technological developments of the ISNB: radiosurgery, focused ultrasounds, etc.
- CT and MRI perfusion studies, and their use in the clinical field (Stroke, Neoplastic Pathology, etc.)
- fetal MRI in paediatric Neuroradiology
Research activities
The programme carries out clinical research in the fields of oncology, demyelination, stroke and normotensive hydrocephalus. It promotes the evaluation of new imaging sequences and analysis methods aimed at improving clinical practice.
